The good news: there will be a Ghosts of Wales Live event in 2020!

The bad news: for reasons which, unfortunately, don’t need explaining, it will be an online affair.

But that won’t dampen our spirits.

In fact, it should make it the most popular Ghosts of Wales Live! event ever.

Because while we might normally cram a few hundred people into a room together somewhere in deepest and darkest Wales, this year the thousands of people from around the world who tune in to the Ghosts and Folklore of Wales podcast will be able to join in as well!

What’s the Ghosts of Wales Live event all about?

The Ghosts of Wales Live event is an annual “paranormal party” hosted by Mark Rees, author of such spooky books as Ghosts of Wales, and host of the Ghosts of Wales podcast.

While the line-up changes with each event, you can usually expect:

• Some spooky ghost stories

• A little paranormal investigating

• Special guests and interviews

• And the highlight of every event – spooky belly dancing!

It’s also a chance for Mark to talk about his latest book, which in 2020 is Paranormal Wales, which has yet to be officially launched due to the ongoing situation.

How can I listen to the 2020 live event?

A special episode of the podcast has been recorded, and will be released first thing on October 29.

The fifth and final of the Halloween in Wales specials, it will include all of the tricks and treats you’d expect to find at a normal Ghosts of Wales Live event – well, except for the spooky belly dancers, sadly. But hopefully they’ll be involved somewhere very soon!

It’s quite an epic episode, clocking in at more than hour long, and is packed with all manner of goodies for the spookiest night of the year.

Can I join in?

Of course you can!

Because it’s pre-recorded it won’t be “live” in the traditional sense, but a time will be set when we can all listen together. And as always, there’ll be a conversation about it on social media.

If you don’t already, track down and follow Mark on TwitterFacebook and Instagram, and be sure to say hello!

And remember – the Ghosts and Folklore of Wales podcast is the best, the beautiful, and the ONLY Ghosts of Wales podcast, beaming to you from Wales to the world.

Don’t accept any cheap imitations!
