Road to Halloween 2026
Halloween is always a busy time for me — I’ve long joked that spooky season is busy season — but Halloween 2026 is going to be the craziest yet… and 2027 will be even crazier.
As usual, I’ll be travelling the land to give talks and lectures, but there’s something extra special happening this year — I’m not limited to just Wales, or even Britain. I’m free to explore England, Scotland and Ireland, and it’s going to be epic.
I’ve been commissioned to work on a new Halloween project to be unleashed in 2027 – details safely under wraps for now- which means I get to hit the road and go exploring this autumn, sampling everything from scare rides to toffee apples.
That includes family-friendly days out and pumpkin patches, nerve-shredding haunted attractions, folklore festivals, sacred traditions and all sorts of places no sane person would venture after dark… unless it’s October.
I’m currently mapping everything out and hoping to have a full road trip plan in place by the end of the summer. If you’ve got suggestions — or you’re involved in something suitably spooky and want to point me in the right direction — get in touch via email or social media.
The more unusual and off the beaten track the better – where are those hidden gems and overlooked traditional places?
I’ll be documenting the whole thing as I go, so you won’t have to wait until next Halloween to see what I get up to. Expect plenty of updates across social media, and I’ll be sharing video over on YouTube as and when – be sure to follow me now for updates as and when they become available.
In related news, work is also underway on the Paranormal Unpacked Halloween special, which will be filmed in one of Wales’s “most haunted” – and one of my favourite – places, Margam Castle in Port Talbot. For a quick preview, watch the video above and again, keep an eye on socials for updates.
Trust me when I say that while Margam has been done to death, nobody has done it the Paranormal Unpacked way – no waffle, no spin, just unpacking the paranormal goodness.
Spooky season starts…. now!
Until next time, nos da.
Mark
