Neath at Halloween: Ghosts, Horror Records & the Bottle of Death
A cultural adventure around Neath ahead of Halloween, which includes ghosts, horror records, a huge stash of physical media, an unexpected Star Wars arcade machine and (cue dramatic music)… the Bottle of Death!
Yes, the Bottle of Death, which was found in a secret basement (recue dramatic music) – all will be revealed…
Along the way, Mike and Steve at 33/45 recommend some less obvious Halloween listening, I check out their range of Welsh horror merch, talk about Neath’s ghost stories, and we remember our good friend Keith Williams, who worked on music videos for everyone from Michael Jackson and Bonnie Tyler to Ray Parker Jr.’s Ghostbusters and, as I discovered, a Billy Idol music video directed by none other than Tobe Hooper in which he uses a prop from the Texas Chain Saw Massacre.
Watch the video below and watch more spooky adventures over on YouTube:
Featuring Neath Castle, the Duke, 33/45, and finally, a little blast from the past bonus: my 2016 conversation with Keith about how he came up with the visual concept for the Ghostbusters music video.
Until next time… nos da!
